Introducing Spartan Shield VPR
Internal Biometrics has developed the Spartan Shield Vein Pattern Recognition (VPR) device to perform authentication based on an internal quality rather than an external characteristic. It uses the unique biometric pattern of a person’s hand veins to distinguish one person from the next.
Just place your hand on the Shield's curved hand rest, and in a split second it will confirm the validity of your claimed identity with the high security of an invisible biometric— the unique vein pattern under the skin.
Amazingly easy to use and install
The Shield is as easy to install as it is to use. A standard four-wire hookup is all that's required. The unit sends standard Weigand data, but comes equipped to operate a dry-contact relay for stand-alone applications.
In fact, Spartan Shield VPR is a direct replacement for most four-wire proximity card readers with no system modifications. Simply remove the old reader, connect the Shield to the existing connections, and you’re all set.
