Spirit of Service is a local nonprofit organization that has been serving the Tucson community since 1998. The organization helps low income people who are uninsured or underinsured by providing them with access to alternative and/or integrative medical services at a price they can afford.
The program gives people a chance to explore their healthcare options without financial restrictions, and starts them on a journey to total health and well-being. The organization is supported by a network of local alternative healthcare providers who volunteer their services.
Spirit of Service can help you if you would like to experience the benefits of alternative methods of healing. The organization promotes a holistic approach to total health and wellness and encourages health education and awareness. If you are an uninsured or underinsured member of the Tucson community and are in need of health related services, Spirit of Service can connect you to alternative healthcare professionals of Tucson and help you to receive these services at a low cost based on your income. We can also provide you with information and educational resources on a variety of health related topics.
The Directors
Monica Nicholas is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition; she completed her Dietetic Internship at Queens College in New York City.
As a Registered Dietitian, she has worked for several treatment centers as a nutrition counselor. Monica is currently operating as a Personal Nutrition Coach offering counseling and education for individuals. She has extensive experience in community nutrition serving underprivileged populations.
Cristina Manos is a graduate of The University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy. Cristina is a licensed pharmacist and has been practicing pharmacy in a retail setting for eight years as a staff pharmacist as well as a pharmacy manager.
Cristina’s background and experience as a healthcare professional and as a manager are accompanied by her certification as a Reiki Master and an ordained Healing Minister in the state of Arizona.
